"I'm not talking about your town, I'm talking about the greater good of our society"
Our society is mostly made up of towns like mine.

"when you say: 'that is why it is taking California six or seven more years to get to $15', that is not an economic theory based on any sort of deductive or inductive logic."

Uh, no; the economic theory based on nothing other than emotion is you saying the entire country can handle a jump to $15,
How about you test your theory in Alaska first? You don't even have to raise it; just walk around town and ask all the merchant what would happen if tomorrow they suddenly had to pay their employees $6/hr more. Don't go to Starbucks and McDonalds and Wamart, where the plutocrats abound; go to "We sell tourist goods", "Notachain Burgers", "Juneau's Yugest Pizza", "Mom&Pops' Grocery, any locally owned bookstore, carpet cleaner, whatever.

"what is your remedy for the massive income inequality in our country"
Raise the national MW slowly, raise it faster in states like mine that can handle it, until it becomes a living wage; tax the wealthy and spend it on green infrastructure; maybe boost SS for the poorest recipients, even if it means giving the res of us a smaller amount. When robots put enuf people out of work, we might have to go with some sort of gvt-guarenteed income, such as was defeated in Switzerland. Might have to outlaw self-serve gas, and limit automated bank tellers to after-hours, to put more people to work.

Beginning Jan. 1, 18 Oregon counties have the authority to permit gas stations to offer self-serve between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., following a bill signed into law by Governor Kate Brown in June
As of Thursday, officials at several Steph Curry County fuel stations said they were not making changes right away

"All the people are saying that it is a bad idea that I've seen so far have not thought it through."
Maybe we've thought it thru more than you have.

>> And I'll ask you the same question I asked Neil, what is your remedy for the massive income inequality in our country that just continues to worsen and is one of the worst in the world.

How about you answer my question which you have refused to respond to in at least four posts where it has been posed nicely to you? Why are you dodging my question?

Secondly, as to the above, what makes you believe that someone else being wealthy somehow prevents YOU from being wealthy?

If you don't want to answer just say so and I won't post them again. But, of course, the conclusion would be that you cannot formulate an answer to these difficult question and hence, your ideas have broken down altogether,.
