I purchased the home in 1997 from the original owner.

Roofing is comp from when the house was originally built in 1991.

Supposed to be a 40 year guaranteed product but 25 years later has already failed in many places.

I'm replacing it with a raised seam aluminum roof this year that can handle the marine environment.

The gutters were originally galvanized steel. They rusted out and were replaced with aluminum back in 2000.

The original gutters didn't even last ten years!

After all it's a salt water marine environment.

I never would have put galvanized steel gutters on a house that close to salt water!
