Although the author is discounting the increase in electric/fuel efficient vehicles, I think that's a big part of it. Also, the internet delivery to your door phenomenon is eliminating millions of short trips to the stores every day.

interesting speculation by Goldman..... many of us don't know that we an trust Goldman to not misdirect....

the price action in the energy complex has shown crude and gasoline rolling over for the past few weeks.

Parts of the US economy are softening.

This was a good post regarding comments from a very savvy hedge fund manager.

There are a number of problems in which Trump administration does not get a chance to do the proactive growth and tax initiatives that they would like to do.... and the EUR union is deteriorating.

the 10 year note has been going up in price down in yield as has the entire US yield curve. that is showing a softening economy
