>> Virtually every program to help the poor was put forth by the Democrats and fought against by the Republicans.

And what have those programs done for the poor other than to leave us $20 Trillion in debt? The poor are still poor. What have you done about it? Nothing.

The poor today are better off SOLELY because of free markets creating better and cheaper products that make the lives of ordinary people, middle class and poor alike, better.

Where has the $22 Trillion we spent on anti-poverty programs gone? Public housing which is falling down all over the country, drug-infested neighborhoods where teenagers and adults raised in single parent families had just as soon shoot you as look at you. Women with 9 kids from 9 daddies. Men who have fathered 27 kids and take care of none. All receiving public money.

That is what YOUR ideas gave us.

>>>"It is admittedly subjective, but not morally bankrupt. I took the time to study history and see who was hurting people and who was helping people. I like the people that helped people and not the people that hurt people. "<<<

Looking over the history of the United States you should have noticed that when any large organization of people were in power people got hurt, sometimes intentionally and sometimes just because a political policy that helps some people is a detriment to others. You prefer wearing blinders when Dems are in power but the very fact that a major move to support conservative policy occurred in the last election should be meaningful beyond your attributions of evil to everything Republican.

Republicans, just like Dems, intend their policies to be helpful regarding Americans. Does it always turn out great? No, no more than everything is roses when Dems are in power. However, castigating hundreds of millions of conservatives over history of the USA is definitely not justified. Even if it included one innocent it would be wrong. As it is, most conservatives are good people.
