Sean Spicer: Trump has every right to stand up for his family against Nordstrom

Of course, his family wasn't attacked by Nordstrom. He's just a whiner.

Not carrying Trump brands is an act of disloyalty to Trumpsters.

The President of the United States just condemned a company for not enriching his family. Priceless ( and I do mean priceless Spicer...)

Exactly as predicted, the whole Trump family of grifters and con men will be using the presidency strictly for their own personal aggrandizement.

It wont work though, Trump won office by appealing to the type of people who shop at Walmart, not the leftist snobs who tend to buy his family's product lines so people who go to boycott retailers like this are going to have little effect. Furthermore I see this going the way of a reverse Chic-Fil-A and sending leftists running to shop at Nordstroms and others in protest of Trump.

Abuse of power is what this is. Plain and simple.

I am so grateful our President has nothing else of enormous concern on his agenda and is able to focus on Ivanka's products & Nordstrom. The world is at peace and all is well.

P.S. For those disheartened they can no longer purchase Ivanka products at Nordstrom's, TJMaxx & Marshall's has an abundant selection. Saw it with my own two eyes.

State sanctioned retail establishments will be released by list at a formal ceremony to be held at the grand opening of Uday and Qusay's next real estate acquisition, comrade.

Some people are saying that @Nordstrom is dumping Ivanka because her clothes are made in China and will replace her with USA makers! Smart!

Benjy Sarlin? @BenjySarlin
Important: Nordstrom did not say anything about Ivanka's politics. WH is making clear it doesn't matter, point is not paying up

It doesn't matter why they did it. They have the right to do it for whatever reason. They don't need to prove anything one way or the other. We can't tolerate having the weight of the President coming down on private businesses for some perceived slight against his daughter.

IllinoisPatriot bigsir74an hour ago

It's retaliation like this from Trump (now openly on behalf of his daughter's business) that will cause increasing amounts of consumers to stop patronizing Trump establishments and businesses.

BOTH of them are going to seen double-digit cuts in customers within the year - up to and including entire businesses failing because of Trumps market interference and his conflicts of interest.

In fairness it's both, the Trump family's products always catered to the elitist snob class(and those who wanted to be like it) but his (most recent)political escapade is appealing to the Walmart type consumer and demonizing the elitists. The snobs turning agaisnt his daughter's product is not surprising.

Not that it in any way justifies what he's doing.

Did Ivanka really need the president to call out Nordstrom?

After all, what business will want to partner with the president's daughter if it puts them at risk of a public lashing from the leader of the free world?

? Good News: Trump is focusing like a laser beam on what he considers a global existential threat. Bad News: It's Nordstrom.

Personal TrumperTantrums via tweets do seem a tad below the dignity of the Office. The last straw will be when Pres.Trump pulls a Belushi & yells, "Food Fight!" at some future State Dinner.

If it were good business to have her brand they would do it. It's called free market capitalism. Something Trump knows very little about since he only invests if he get government assistance.
