I've read this, but haven't seen real confirmation. And in any case, as I said: either it's addictive or it's not. Consider coffee. I I I consume very little caffeine, as I don't like the way it makes me feel. But I have friends who've quit; all have had headaches for a few days, some the shakes. Just as addictive as nicotine.

You've obviously never smoked seriously. If I buy stronger ciggies, I smoke fewer. If I smoke "lites" I smoke many more and end up with a sore throat. The smartest thing the tobacco industry could do--for them, in terms of revenues--would be to produce "healthy" low-nicotine smokes.
