There is another massive problem with Charter Schools IMHO, which is most of them are relatively recent and so don't have the employee/retirement funding problem. They will underfund retirement, and then go out of businesses if needed. But that said, public sector retirement funding is something the public sector needs to grapple with as well. Its one of the things driving Trump voter anger. In much of the rural poor USA, the good jobs with secure retirement are all public sector. At some point people get angry about those things...
