Venkie,
Hi!!! <<<<<<< Dell always comes thru for it's share holders...>>>> Maybe you should reprint that post of how Mike buys his computers from the company for his gifts......then the bears might listen....does that tell you who this guy really is working for or what???
Personally, I'm waiting for an announcement....we all know we are way over due and during the past two and half months anything positive would have been a waste....time for Dell to start marketing the stock??? If that is true about Intel.....yes, kaaapooow to the moon with Dell.....
Best, Kemble

re: Do you think we will see 90 tomorrow...

You askes for a comment....
90 on DELL....It is possible....
Did I cover, NO
As for earnings, DELL should make their numbers, but there is a risk despite the windfall from the AP.
Has anyone noticed the rash of prereleases by software companies ?
This must be because companies are forgoing software to buy more hardware.
Has anyone noticed that the fourth quarter slowed over its 3 months ?
Did anyone notice retail sales, expected to be up 2.5% for december, This compares to a recient trend of plus 5-9%. In a nut shell, christmas stunk. Will this affect PC sales ?
DELL makes $500 on a PC, How do you make $500 on a PC when your competitors are selling them for $800 like HP's new P200MMX w/32MB Ram.

Lets see you have to pay MSFT $70 for Win95, INTC $75-100 for a chip. that is $200 of the $800. I know this is HP who's model is very different to DELL's, But the most important point is that APS's are coming down. The sub-zero is here to stay and anyone that is not in that market is going to get left behind.

Back to consumer spending, 2/3 of GDP. Consumer confidence is at a 29 year high the same as in 1969. With such high confidence how come X-mas sales are so weak ? Why are car sales poor ? Maybe the subzero is growing so fast because that is all they can afford.

Does anyone know what the market did after 1969 ? I will let you look up that one, a little history may do ya'll some good.
I am getting too far off the topic,

Yes DELL can go to 90 this week, the big question is can the stock go up without an information vacume. When the preannouncements started in early DEC, the stock went from 96 to >80. From christmas to now, the stock is up 10 points, but there has been no news from anywhere. Now that we are back to doin bidness, Lets see how it does.
