Jamse, as a long time holder since 1991, I don't give moment to moment trading advice. If you think the stock is good for the long term, it won't matter much whether you get some now at 22 or 19 (unless you can't get it at 19). I'm better at timing sells than buys, anyway, since I have a long term attitude.

But the price hasn't broken down any further on the downgrade, so it will probably take a bad market or bad news to go significantly lower, and then you would wonder whether you should buy at the lower price.

I discussed TRMB with my broker again.

He's waiting for the earnings report before he buys more. He sees two options...

1) A good report that could have him buying at $24. He says he'll be happy to pay for the confidence.

2) A questionable report that hurts the stock price, where he can pick up shares on the selloff.

Good Luck to all. I'm still watching, no position yet.

Happily Following TRMB,
Duke

Advanced Micro Devices and Datus Inc. are building a portable GPS system for cars for under $1000. Does Trimble have any part in this?

biz.yahoo.com

Looks like the price of car navigation systems is heading down pretty fast. Car Max's system just came out at the $2000 level a couple of months ago.

Added to my stock position yesterday. I believe there are many application for Trimble's technology coming down the pike that we haven't even considered yet!

Next couple of days should be a buying opportunity. A stock always goes down after I buy it :-)
