Bah. Poor performance the last two days has little to do with ATI. This stock has gone up considerably since IPO and this is only the 2nd day to take profits in new year. The volume, though, was relatively low so I'm not very concerned.

Every week there will be some company claiming to be the next great graphics champ. Even lowly S3 will try to talk up their entry. ATI may be good for general desktop performance, but 3dfx is after the gamers pure and simple. By 2nd half 98 we might see some attempts to break into ATI's (and Matrox) stronghold through Banshee. ATI, btw, is indeed the pack leader in mainstream with S3's fall. But they can't match image quality of 3dfx.

oh please.. I guess TDFX is in trouble now, should we start worrying again like we did when it was at $13 and folks predicted a fall to $8-10?

maybe.. JUST maybe, folks who made a helluva a profit durring the last month while other nasdaq stocks were getting crushed decided to wait until 1998 to cash out, thus not paying tax for 15 months? hmm..

Quite a few stocks I follow that had great runs in Nov/Dec are being skimmed. No big deal.

TDFX is fine... Look at the tape.. I find it hard to believe that people holding several hundred shares started dumping because of an article in forbes..

Rage pro... who? what? please...
