It's been quite a while but I've started getting the full screen ORANGE Firefox update scam again. Comes along about 2-3 times last 10 days or so.
Anyone know how to give this a one-time lasting kill? Very annoying!

Got hit with that pop up message and thought it was coming from Microsoft. Called the number because they managed to lock up my computer. They managed to really screw up my computer and wanted $500 to release it.

I have no idea how it got on my computer because I don't click on links or download anything.

My techie says it will take about 2-3 days to scan and clean it all up. Can't believe I fell for the scam. But they didn't get a credit card number.
