Exxon and Peabody were all about drowning out the voices who were a threat to their carbon business. The idea is to get these criminals to fork up about $1T, which the world can use to pay for adaptation. Building a seawall along the East Coast is a lot more expensive than building one along the Mexican border. Alternatively, we could move all our cities inland.
