Well, there's one big difference between smoking and inhaling second-hand smoke: the former is far less irritating. I was part of a regular bridge group many years ago. Three of us smoked, the other didn't. Except when we got together: then he lit up out of self-defense. Said if he took part it didn't bother him at all. Outdoor pollution here (of which we've got a lot, but we're not supposed to think so now that they've stopped reporting the figures) is something I feel, even in small increments. Makes me feel MUCH worse than smoking ever has.
