The stupid anarchists show up at a lot of the marches and ruin them. There aren't many anarchists- but they break windows and do stupid things. They are not aligned with the other protestors. They showed up at the end of the Iraq war march in SF- and they did some damage during Occupy Oakland. Conflating the Anarchists with other groups is very ignorant, and like conflating the klan with anti-abortion protesters or moderate republicans. But ignorance is rife- and there doesn't seem to be much of a cure when the ignorance is voluntary.
