IQBAL, Attached is a link to thoughts from an economist whom I regard as very cognizant of current U.S. economic fundamentals. He is Stephen Roach of Morgan Stanley and it's possible that I'm partial to his viewpoints because I mostly agree with them. The article is "US: Fed Surprises". But I am surprised that he now mentions the possibility of a Fed easing. In the past, events external to the U.S. haven't influenced Fed policy. ms.com Enjoy Lee Hendel
