The bottom line is they always let Trump know what they know, or, in some cases, conclude. They just prefer not to tell him how they found out or who was involved if they can help it. That part doesn't particularly bother me. The real felonies are when the anti-Trumpers buried all over every spy agency in the country find ways to let the media get it, probably in most cases without their fingerprints even being on it. Deep Throat was buried for years.
