Father Terrence, That's what I was thinking, that the airlines haven't replaced the good ol' reliable nicotine-staining test for metal fatigue. I made a similar statement to a group of mostly nonsmoking friends. They thought I was making it up or joking and all but laughed me out of the room. Funny, but these friends seldom laugh when I tell a real joke. <g> As evidenced by my previous posts on the subject, I am in complete agreement with you on the concept of property rights and ownership. In fact, that is the very foundation of my dismay at this new California anti-smoking law. That, and the means by which it is to be enforced and who will pay the piper when the law is broken. Were I a nonsmoker, my take on this would be no different. Holly
