And as a quick reply to your recommended post, because I may reply to it again, the policy of Separate Development wasn't one where any black nation was carted off to some waste land or dust bowl.

There are numerous TRIBES within South Africa. And each of those TRIBES can be fiercely independent and proud of their own heritage, customs and ancestry. They will hardly, if ever, mix with each other. They will hardly, if ever, live side by side with each other. And those are just a few of many aspects about these TRIBES that those in the Western World have no understanding of, or appreciation of, or comprehension of. Primarily, I believe, because the vast majority of those of the Western World, especially those left of centre, have never lived within a country that had numerous TRIBES within it.

They see the black people of South Africa as ONE HOMOGENEOUS RACIAL GROUP .... NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE REALITY !!

I defy anyone or any group or any industry to come to this country and set up a situation where they require a large amount of relatively unskilled labour, and then import this labour from various parts of South Africa and place them in ONE AREA to live with each other in a common communal situation. THERE WILL BE MAYHEM ON A GRAND SCALE, BELIEVE ME !!

And I speak from personal experience. I ran a large contract here in the Western Cape. And in this part of the world the predominant black worker comes from the Xhosa TRIBE. And these males were housed in a batchelor quarter at a place called Mfuleni. We found that we needed additional skilled labour to fix reinforcing steel. My director brought down an excellent, hard working, diligent team of Steelfixers from the north of South Africa. These men were from the Tswana TRIBE. We initially obtained accommodation for them at Mfuleni. No sooner did they arrive there then there was "trouble". The Leader of the Tswana team informed me that he and his labour force could not live side by side with the Xhosa because there would be ongoing "violence".
At the end of the day we had to set up special accommodation on my construction site to house the Tswana workers.

Now, .... someone like Hendrick Verwoerd fully UNDERSTOOD AND APPRECIATED the intricacies of the tribes and the tribal systems within this country. And, believe it or not, HE FULLY RESPECTED THEM. He wasn't a "racist" or "hater of black people". He was a pragmatist who understood the TRIBAL system and all that it entailed and involved.

And what he initiated by means of Separate Development was to give each TRIBAL nation FULL CONTROL to run their own affairs in those areas of South Africa where each of these TRIBES had been living for CENTURIES. They weren't displaced to the desert of the Kalahari, etc.

So the Xhosas were given the Transkei. The Ciskeians were given the Ciskei, the Zulus were given Kwazulu Natal, etc, etc. And each of these separate States had its own elected Parliament with its own President. And they were perfectly free to make their own laws and govern themselves. And when the white President of South Africa visited the black President of the Transkei, THEY MET AS EQUALS.

And another thing ... you'll often read in the leftist press about black South Africans saying that the "whites" stole their country. Well, that's a load of "bull manure". When the white Jan Van Riebeeck, apparently one of the first white men to set foot on South African soil, arrived here on the shores of the future Cape Town, he was met by blacks of the Khoisan tribe. There are no longer any members of that tribe. Those blacks, such as the Xhosa, or Zulus, etc, who trumpet about whites "stealing" their country HAD NEVER LIVED ANYWHERE NEAR THE FUTURE CAPE TOWN !!! They lived far up the East Coast of South Africa !!
And the Khoisan tribe did not originate from within South Africa. Their origin is from the FAR NORTH, primarily from what is today Namibia .....

en.wikipedia.org

So if any "stealing" went on then maybe fingers need to be pointed at the Khoisan !!!
And one final comment for now, .... to the best of my knowledge the term and description "apartheid" was not "invented" here in South Africa. To the best of my knowledge it was a "creation" from outside the borders of this country by those who had their own agenda in mind .....

Below is a link to an article recently written by a Black South African, a certain Dr. Mathews Phosa (here is is "CV" .... whoswho.co.za ... as you will see he obtained the title "Dr." having received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Boston University).

Dr. Phosa is, in my opinion, a man of integrity and, I'd say, courage as well, to make a public statement regarding the Corrupt and Completely Inept President that South Africa now has the misfortune to have at its head.

I certainly hope that more voices like Dr.Phosa's will be raised to make the general Black population aware of WHO THEY SHOULDN'T VOTE FOR at this country's next general election ....
