And people in the east do not argue with their scientists like they do in the west.

I think recently pediatricians in America came out against it. It's terribly painful to the infant, can result in loss of sensitivity to the penis, and there's no real reason to do it- outside of religious ones. Genital mutilation is common in religions, but we shouldn't soft pedal it- because it is genital mutilation. If a person wants to choose that as an adult- fine. But children should not be mutilated- because being born to your parents is not in and of itself consent to mutilation.
