Sally Pipes is completely wrong. I am Canadian and have no problem seeing doctors. I do have a regular GP and have had one for the 50 years I've lived in Canada. He refers me to specialists when needed. Most recently , two years ago, to a cardiologist because I had developed CHF. He in turn referred me to another cardiologist who was expert in CHF. I feel sorry for you Americans and your screwed up health care plans. Sure it could be better in Canada but I won't lose my house because of illness.
