Dr. Mildred Jefferson (1927-2010) is the first African American woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School. She was very influential in the Republican party and she unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for Senate several times.

Dr. Jefferson is credited with Ronald Reagan becoming pro-life.

The abortion rate has declined by 50% since 1980 because of hard work in the areas of protest, teaching, pregnancy assistance and the law.
