<<ALL: It constantly amazes me how each individual trader has a unique approach to trading. Everyone watches different indicators,
trades different stocks, markets or types of securities. Truly it is almost impossible for one trader to replicate the methods of another.>>

Irby, I couldn't agree more. Two traders can everthing equal and the results will vary. I have incorporated a few systems from the books and tweaked them to fit my style. They work for me, but may (reads will) not work for others. The main reason; each person has a different pain threshold. Mine tends to be high, so I can ride a 1/2 to 3/4 run against me. Most daytraders are out when down a quarter.

Now to find that mechanical exit....

Steve

NEWBIES: You need to spend ALOT of time watching stocks trade and analyze how stocks trade in relation to different indicators. Try to get a handle on patterns you see repeating themselves. Once you are able to notice these patterns you can start to build a trading system around them. Everyone is different, and it is the ability to recognize these patterns and time trades correctly that seperates good from bad traders.

Good Luck!

Ditto here again on differant styles. i have studied from several daytraders and am still learning. The level 2 from TOL is my best tool for trying to predict price movement. My question(or problem) is how to get the fastest execution once i am ready to pull the trigger. I am using Lombard(Discover) both internet and phone and was wondering if there is some faster method to the floor. Some have told me to look into ABWatley. Is there really some sub 1 munute execution method available. I do not want to go SOES.
This seems to be a very professional site with knowledgable folks all around.
I will be going full time in April(hopefully)
