RE: <<I'm reading Quantum is in the TSA camp and the same people always want to say Seagate is re-evaluating, but I have no reason to believe it. Who knows what WDC is doing besides having trouble. Maxtor might be a customer, but they aren't really pushing the edge on technology and will probably wait and see.>>

Where did you read that QNTM is in the TSA camp and that SEG is re-evaluating? It seems odd that SEG would re-evaluate so quickly after INVX's announcement about HIF being utilized in the Cheetah drives. Also, in the annual report, INVX mention pacific rim customers and customers in Japan. INVX did not mention any company, but do you believe one of the companies may be Maxtor (in Japan). Verbatim the statement was "... reflecting the high level of lead wire assembly shipments to disk drive manufacturers in Japan and other pacific rim countries."

INVX also stated concerning HIF the following, "We are currently in production ramp up for two large disc drive programs and expect to be shipping at full volume by mid 1998." I wonder what 2 programs they are talking about (One I am sure is the Cheetah program the second I have no clue)?

Any thoughts?
