The only good thing about Bonds is that county bonds can be redeemed by the county's taxing authority at face value if presented jointly with a tax bill requiring payment. I know this indirectly through the act of selling a worthless bond to an entity that used the bond in such a manner. Good as cash in the right hands. That bond was part of an estate that I was charged with settling not my personal holding.
