The conference call gave me some reasons not to give up on this stock. Even though the changes make good business sense, the conference call seemed like a pep rally. Much of the information revealed was already known, or could have easily been guessed, and some of the information didn't seem very useful. Not enough details were revealed at this time.

Since it will take some months before Vertel/Retix reports positive earnings I'm guessing the stock price will continue to fluctuate between 4 and 7 for a while. A major annoucement about one of their "international" clients could be helpful, but they have already said they aren't depending on one large client for their revenues.

What this stock needs is a buy recommendation from some brokerage firms and some positive earnings, and a great announcement. I wonder which is going to come first and make the difference.

All in all the conference did provide me with some hope for the future. I think we will see double digits this year. Good luck to all.

Since the acquisition and the IPO rumors weren't fulfilled, and the company is going to change its name to Vertel, maybe we should start a new thread under the name of Vertel.

<* The Sonoma investment should be finalized within 2 weeks.>

Has there been an announcement on what the Sonoma deal will look like? Is Retix getting any money out of this? Do they retain any ownership?
