But it was far more "settled" that AGW is today. There are very important, thoughtful scientists -- and a lot of them -- who think AGW is either bullshit or over-blown. And a lot more who are afraid to say it. And a lot of closed minded idiots who don't deserve a place in academia. The closed-mindedness is astounding to me. I do not know if I have seen it like you have it. But it is clearly prevalent amongst liberals. Which, of course, is over-represented in academia.
