If you noticed it in Antarctica, it was unusual. If it was in your back yard, prolly normal.
Unusual would be something like the Arctic with less than 1M sq km of ice at the end of the melt season (ice-free arctic), no glaciers ion Glacier NP, plants emerging a month early thehindu.com , or Blue Morphos in your yard.
