John, just a brief, nonspecific reply from me as a courtesy to you (I don't want to practice medicine on the thread or be quoted elsewhere, such as Yahoo [are you listening David, Sam?]). If I were HIV+, I would not take AZT and the ONLY PI I would take is Viracept. I am reasonably confident that I would do well (barring no OI or malignancy) until there is a more effective treatment available (1-2+ yrs), and I refuse to become sicker from the drugs (such as Crix) than the disease. Dr. Gallant's comments are correct.
