My study of history shows me that people and countries do much better the less religion they have because it is make believe and most of the time people use it too guide their lives rather than science, facts and logic. so they are guiding their lives by made us stuff which is nothing but primitive thinking.

If you look around the world today, the most successful and humanitarian countries are the ones that have shed religion for modern thinking. Look what the ancient Greeks achieved when the shed myths for reason.

The ME, Africa and Central and South America are hobbled by religion because their societies are formed around religion instead of modern social science. . In fact our being behind the rest of the west is due to the control by the religious right over our country. And how are we behind? The only western nation to have the death penalty , feeble social system, lack of humanity, and the bible belt has always been the most racist section of the country (how ironic) . Because they read the bible instead of Max Weber, Russell, Einstein or Whitehead.

How does Reza defend the almost absolute misogyny in every religion and the harsh (death) penalties religions have for apostasy, or the religious torture almost all were involved in? They are like this because religion sells nothing but primitive ignorance.

It was secular folks who gave us democracy, real ethics, classless societies and freedom to think and manifest one's destiny and freedom from torture and death for non believers.

IMO, Reza is a self promoting fool and no better than the big tent revivalists..

Religion is the opiate of the people.
