Brian,

If this is not the oversupply of x86 CPU, then, what is it?

Intel (INTC) is facing cancellation of notebook PC
processor orders, boding ill for processor sales in
this segment.

Intel has an inventory of about 3 million in unsold
processors, due to "massive cancellations of
notebook chips," according to Ashok Kumar,

Thus, the technology loser, like Intel, would have the most to lose with little to gain.

If a company could "only" play the game to enlarge/eliminate the L2 cache on their processors to adjust $10 cost, would you agree that this is a technology loser?

Brian and Fuchi,,, those excess notebook processors are probably 133s, 150s, and 166s. Many of the larger notebook makers have been offering "special pricing" on 133 and 150 MMX notebook processors for the past few months. Dell and Gateway have offered special pricing to GSA on these two models for the past two months. The glut might be a little closer to home than Asia. I don't suppose these are small enough to put into a new Timex DataLink watch, are they? :>)
