Better would be to limit the job to 3 months annually. Force them to get the work done and then go earn a living under the laws they pass for all of the country.

The current get into office and leave decades later rich needs to end.

My main concern is the constitutional convention that would be required to change the limits. It could easily run away towards less seemly goals.
