This is starting to sound like a real Christian thread. This is what I was looking for when I came to Ask God and WHAT HAPPENED???????
The Grace of God is phenomenal and beyond our ability to grasp totally until we are with Him. Not for an arguement in any form but I do have a question. Does grace free us from all unrighteousness as we can do anything we want? That is how it sounds to me I understand that if I confess my sins He is faithful but does that apply to everything and are we exempt from any consequences from our actions? It confuses me because I feel it has been mistaught before and could not make the conection. I know that I can be forgiven of all sin in Jesus but I also know He disciplines and there most definately are consequences. The law of Moses was replaced by the law of Christ that covers all the basic 10 biggies except for the sabbath for now He is the Lord of the Sabbath. So I don't see much of a change in the requirements the only change I see is the eternal punishment but as for now if I am a glutton I will get fat even if I confess and feel free of the sin the consequence is real and if I murder someone I don't think God will get me off. So in a way there needs to be more explanation to Grace as in a closer relationship to Him through Grace that will enable us to be set free from all unrighteousness. Remember what John the Baptist said " Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." We had forgiveness of sin in the OT by animal sacrifice but what John is saying here is much more deep than that. I believe he is saying He will deliver us literaly take the desire away and set us free from all sin commited to Him in faith. WOW!!! Anyway as long as no one is calling Jews evil or satanic I will reason the scriptures with joy.Nancy
