I think not corny but insightful.

I mean, it is a strange thing isn't it trying to reconcile modern woman's lib with that kind of old fashioned woman's devotion to her family. My wife dropped her career and spent 18 years doing nothing but caring for our family and now she is back at work as we are close to being empty nesters. I guess, the only difference between now and that sort of old fashioned, stereo typical, wife is that now society CLAIMS to give them a choice, but in reality many women are being forced or pressured to choose a career in order to make ends meet or simple just to keep up with the neighbors when they would rather be focused on taking care of their families. It is kind of tragic for those that have the opportunity to make that choice but in a different way now then how it was in past...

Sounds pretty good to me.

I've always told my daughters, "Never be dependent on a man. Be his equal and you can be partners in life with shared dreams."
