Hello Chris! Gee, this is getting steamy. I'm just catching up after a few days of heaven on earth. I'd love to join in and lob hand grenades in all directions, but don't have time....too much summer here. Piha days. Best place on earth, best country on earth. Hang on, didn't somebody there claim that a minute ago? Well, the dichotomy between the individual and the collective won't be resolved here. I don't believe anyone has a very good grip on the subject - a bit of a see saw, with a need to have balance. But Chris, you claimed, "... Use his useless shit. I use UNIX. Far more reliable and robust than Windows,..." Doesn't that mean any monopoly my idol Bill G. enjoys is hardly complete. I use Netscape. You use Unix. Where is the monopoly? Sticking to the point - Qualcomm needs to enjoy profits from its monopoly on cdmaOne intellectual property. But back to the important issue of roaming, pricing and all that. "CURRENT PRICE IS ..." within a system from one monopolistic provider is hardly the best way, though much better than the current high priced peak/off peak system. Just a step on The Road Ahead. Best to have a handset which gives quotes from various wireless providers in the area. Dial the number, press "Quote" and get the range of prices available for the called destination. Accept a quote by pressing "SEND". Now that would be real competition in the Telecom market. The days of monopoly in telecoms are fading quickly. I really don't fear monopoly by Bill. They could at least wait until he actually HAS some significant illegal monopoly. Happy New Year Chris, and many happy returns to you all. Okay, more ocean wrestling to do. Did you all get your trucks backed up and shovel some in? Next quarter results out soon. Don't miss out. Still a fine buy. Mqurice
