I was charging families $150 an hour on average for an hour of Math or SAT tutoring in Manhattan and there was no argument for many many years until recently. I know people from many other States find that incredible, but even top stylists were charging 3 figures for a haircut. Prices for services are surreal. And then some people wonder why many restaurants are hurting so bad in NYC: just look at their prices.
A car wash is well over $10. I could go on and on. But prices just rise and rise here with no end in sight.
