Robert, I don't want to ignore this info, but I think there
is more to it than meets the eye. You'll notice that the
Intel "Tillamook" chipset is selling well; this is Intel's
latest, fastest notebook chipset. I think one of the problems
right now is that the older notebook models are languishing
as buyers anticipate the PentiumII notebooks. SYSF has said
they are doing well signing OEMs for their notebook BIOS that
supports this new chipset. Also, notebooks that are already
in the sales channel have paid SYSF for the BIOS and/or Card
Wizard that they shipped with, even if they end up being sold
at fire sale prices, due to everyone wanting the PII models.
On top of this, the new PII models will be even more capable
of running NT well, so SYSF's current lock on PCMCIA support
for NT (CardWizard) is another plus, as more and more notebooks
ship with NT installed or are upgraded after the fact.
