That's rather optimistic. It's estimated that CO2 won't start dropping until the world has reduced FF consumption by 80%.

I would support putting some research $$$$ into some small test projects (there are already quite a few underway) to see what could really be done at scale.

As I suggested, read Bjorn Lomborg's 'The Sceptical Environmentalist', which deals with exactly these feasibility problems as seen from a CB- (cost-benefit) Analysis point-of-view.

Stuff written for people like you. Our liberal buddies, however, mostly wouldn't have a clue :)
