Phillip, I have been observing your commentary with great interest, I too bought my Apcc in the summer of 96 at 9.75 to 11.5. I plan on holding a long time as their market is excellent and their product is dominating the field. I believe they approach the quality of a Buffet
type investment long term. I use a system of selling deep in the money calls when I feel that we are in for a major correction. I find this superior to an outright sale or the use of puts. At this moment I
am long unprotected because I liked last weeks action. If the stock
goes above 32 on a breakout , then hits major volume I will consider
putting my saftey options in place until at least summer with a periodic
review.
As for your Japanese commentary, wouldn't a major defense of the yen at this time jeapordise sales of Japans export products at a time
when they are not selling in Japan?
As to the overall market, I have traded since 1955 and every Bull market I have seen ended with a running of the cats and dogs. This has not occurred yet, but may happen this year. I have never seen
a major top when were up against a wall of worry as we are now. As
they say , it might be different this time, but if I have to make a guess
I would say we MIGHT have just made a left shoulder on a massive
top and are heading up for the high spot .
AND I MIGHT ADD... what the hell , Ive been wrong before...
