Sammy,
Stock splits in a weak market are not all that positive for stocks. There have been numerous stock splits announced and they have gennerally been good for about 2 days worth of upward movement in the stocks after the announcement and then a few days surrounding the actual stock split. If AOL was to split it shares, and I think like you do and believe that it will, it will provide an excellent opportunity to average in a short position.
