Warren Buffet runs a simple game, the same which "conglomerates" like ITT used in the 1960s.

In fact this was the era when Buffett and his partners bought he bankrupt shirt company Berkshire Hathaway.

How does the scheme work? Simple. Berkshire Hathaway sells for almost 18 times earnings. Buffett acquires well run companies at 6 times earnings leaving the management in place. Buffett gives them all the capital they need to grow.

Every Dollar Buffet spends buys him $1 in assets and $3 in earnings.

That's all there is to it.
