Ascend Promotes Roger Boyce to Head New Business Unit Enterprise Access Business Unit Devoted to Connecting Corporate Enterprise to the Public Data Network ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 1998--Ascend Communications, Inc., (NASDAQ:ASND - news) announced today that Roger Boyce has been promoted to the newly-created position of Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Access Business Unit. In his expanded role, Boyce will assume responsibility for Ascend's key Security and Remote Access products, in addition to the Multimedia Access products over which he currently has responsibility.
