What I don't get about smart cities, automation and this new virtual social media obsessed world is why the need to stay in very high cost high traffic low quality of life coastal metros like NYC and SF when you can do many of these jobs anywhere with an internet connection. A trend that I thought would occur post financial collapse seems to have gone in the opposite direction since then.. Not sure what if any the hyper liberal coastal politics vs middle america Trumpland we have today has much to do with this...
