[ Amendment to Contrarian Screens ]

I'm running through some of Wink's, Dave Horne's, and Ray Cunningham's scan results right now. There's too little time for me tonight to get them all tonight, however.

But to answer a concern Scott previously posted, I am also taking into consideration projected growth rates (if any), and would pick the higher projected-growth stock over the lower projected-growth stock. In addition, I will be looking for those companies that are experiencing an increase in revenues. I will not take into consideration a company that is experiencing negative growth trends in sales. When scanning, I don't have the patience to wait X amount of years for the company to turn around. We will let the picks come to us.

Beat up companies with beat up valuations and declining revenues on a consistent period are flags that point out the possibility of the company going out of business. No value to be found with these kinds of companies for as long as the trend holds.

On that note, I would like to amend the previous five criteria I posted yesterday to add the following:

6. Revenues must be increasing relative to the previous yearly period.

I hope Dave or Wink, if you're reading this, that you can make the added adjustments to your scans. Thanks very much for taking the time to set them up and posting the results for all to benefit from.

Regards,

Rainier
