Good to hear from you! Not surprising because they know the numbers will be bad for them. I saw that McConnell wants to send the bill 'directly to the floor' in the Senate also. I heard Ryan yesterday state this bill is 'an act of mercy'.... Personally all this will not affect my wife and I, as we will be able to obtain medicare by the time all is said and done. BUT, I really feel for those in their 50's and 60's that will have to buy insurance on their own. If they do raise the age spread from 3 to 5 and keep all the 'goodies' from ACA policies, I don't see how policy prices for these people will not go up substantially. Couple that with far less generous subsidies and it will price them out of the market. Perhaps as I've stated before, that's the 'plan'. Get the high cost patients out of the 'pool' and voila, 'problem fixed'...

Regards,
John

PS - I did notice Ryan also said they can't put the stuff they want to 'fix' ACA policies in the bill because they need 60.... I hope the D's and public opinion block them as much as possible....

The Times has a nice graphic this morning outlining the subsidy/tax credit differences...

>> You forgot to mention that they don't want the CBO to score it either...

Why would they? After the totally feckless scoring of the Obamacare legislation? What makes anyone think it would be other than misleading?

I say leave it alone. Let this dysfunctional pile of shit collapse under its own weight, as it has been clear would happen at the end of the day.

You people created this mess. I don't even know what makes you think you have any position to comment on how Republicans go about trying to fix this problem. It is a joke. You totally wreck the health care payments system, leaving it in a state of near collapse. And now you think you should stand back and criticize the people who trying to pick up the pieces and make something out of it?

Crap.
