once again the only concepts that can save this thing are those based on free market principles.........without govt. interference.....without political goals........CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES

I'm as conservative as they come so I wish it were this simple. Government intervention into the healthcare system from the onset of Medicare until now have so F'd things up it is hard to imagine how free market principles could resolve things. Then there is the uninsured problem that most Americans aren't going to allow swept to the side. A bifurcated system could resolve both problems. Let all those on medicare/medicaid/military/uninsured use the public healthcare infrastructure we have already and completely eliminate any government intervention into the private healthcare system. Medicare folks could use Advantage like programs to move out of the government system. What we would end up with is a world class healthcare system unencumbered by the shackles of government and then a POS government system that no one would want to stay in. It would be the ultimate incentivizer to get a job. It would be interesting to have someone do a cost/benefit analysis on a bifurcated system like this.
