SteveG,
With today's K6 announcements from Compaq and IBM (see below), looks like Elmer, Yousef, StockMoron, and Paul "Intel" Engel should go crawl under a rock.
So lets tally up the AMD-K6 customer list (Acer, Compaq, DEC, IBM just to name a few). Oh, and was that a 266MHZ announcement from IBM. Intel is only shipping 300MHz parts in limited volume. So their 2 or 3 speed grade advantage seems to be dwindling. And when K6-3D comes out, good bye speed lead. With the onslaught of customer announcements it looks as though Intel will start slashing prices. That is why their stock has dropped today and AMD is up over $20 again. Maybe the AMD and Intel stock prices will be at parity by summer. $50 sounds good to me for both Intel and AMD!
Go AMD. Go $50. Go Intel. Go $50.
Long on AMD, Short on Intel.
