John -

No offense taken! I'm not a SuperCharts die-hard, I simply use it because Omega came out with their Windows version way before Equis did, so I bought it, and since then I have never seen enough reason to switch to justify the cost. As I said, I have never had any calculation errors; but on the other hand, I always buy ONE share/contract in my system calculations, not 1000.

I am very open to using Metastock now that they have caught up with (and maybe surpassed) SC. I agree that Omega is very unresponsive to needs. I have asked for three things repeatedly during the last 3+ years, and they haven't hardly acknowledged my request:

1. To be able to use daily data and weekly data simultaneously in a system/optimization (e.g., buy on a weekly signal, sell on a daily signal for locking in quick profits). On SC, this is impossible.

2. To be able to synchronize the various chart windows (e.g., daily, weekly) on the screen so that when I change to a given ticker on one screen, the others will follow. On SC, I have to change the ticker one chart window at a time.

3. To be able to run an optimization routine on multiple stocks at one time. On SC, I have to do them one at a time, save them to files, import them into Excel, and crunch the data there.

Now I'm pretty sure I can't do this in Metastock either, but maybe they would be more responsive to my wishlist.

Always looking for a better way...

Loren

John,

Maybe that's why Omega's IPO came at $12 in October and traded
today at 2 1/2. Make a good product and they'll come. Make a
bad one and they'll leave you.
