I don't think health care will ever get fixed as long as we have a two party system where both parties hate each other's ideas because they're the other party's ideas.

If we could have a King of Health Care for one week, on the last day these problems could have been solved. As long as the King wasn't a Democrat who would surely make it single government payor. If it were me, we would have a market based system with a small refundable credit to make sure everyone could have essential needs met. It would take a fraction of the money because there would be no government bureaucrats involved. Everyone would be happy.
