Do you think Compaq has pushed Intel a little too far this time? Will Andy come down on them this time with HP alliance and server market?

It's a win-win situation for HP - a chance to dominate the high-end desktop market and shut down Compaq in the server area cum Merced.

That is something I don't quite understand. MediaGX as
Paul Engel has pointed out a while ago is a 486 generation
product.

The Compaq press release mentioned that to be below 2000
which many of today's Pentium MMX class notebook can
meet that price point so what is the incentive for a
consumer to buy it ?

BTW, I don't agree with you about the 'blockbuster product'.
