<<Thinking about putting in a order to short @ 95 today. >>

Not a bad idea if you're planning on shorting within the next couple of days and covering only 3-4 points later. AOL typically rises significantly during the week or two before earnings are released (here, Feb. 6), and if you stick around too long you might get caught up in that rise.

Barry,
If you could get filled at $95 I might almost be concerned about the stock running higher. This stock is going to be very difficult to time especially considering that there is the Compuserve deal in the works and the Analysts have been mum for weeks as a result. Ultimately though, I see significantly lower prices for the stock this year. There are a great deal of negatives out their on the stock, enough to make a very bearish case for the company and compelling argument to sell the shares short.

AOL is my top short for the year, along with YHOO, LCOS and XCIT, among other internet plays. A good place to follow my posts regarding these stocks is on the Rodgers Short Picks for '98 thread.

As for determing your short price, I will have to leave that up to you. You need to pick a price and time that you are comfortable with and expect a lot of volitility.

Wayde.
